Bonjour à tous,
Je possède une Epson Stylus Color 740 qui fonctionne parfaitement sous windows et sous Amiga. J'aimerai pouvoir utiliser celle-ci sous Linux.
Elle est connectée directement au PC sur le port parallèle de ce dernier. Ma distrib est une Suze 10.2.
J'ai donc lancé YAST pour tenter de configurer l'imprimante. J'arrive donc dans le panneau "configuration de l'imprimante" qui est vide. Après avoir cliqué sur "ajouter", je sélectionne "imprimantes connectées directement" puis "imprimante parallèle" et quand je clique sur "suivant" je me prends un message "Il n'a pas été détecté de périphérique parallèle (/dev/lp ?). Il semblerait que votre port parallèle ne soit pas configuré correctement". Effectivement si je tape la commande suivante: ls /dev/ , il n'y a aucun device qui porte le nom de lp0! http://www.alionet.org/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif
Je clique ensuite sur "Suivant" et là YAST m'affiche "Premier port parallèle (/dev/lp0)" je sélectionne ce port et je clique sur "Suivant", je lui donne un nom "Printer" et choisis de ne pas partager et ne pas effectuer un filtrage local. A nouveau "Suivant" puis je sélectionne un modèle "Stylus Color 740" et je clique sur "test" mais rien ne se passe! J'ai beau essayer différentes méthodes, y compris en passant par CUPS, mais rien n'y fait!
Bref est-ce que vous avez une idée? Comment puis-je tester mon port parallèle?
Je précise quand même que j'ai essayé diverses configs du bios pour tenter d'activer ce fichu port! (Normal, bidirectionnal, ECP, EPP)

Dans une console en mode root, lance la commande : hwinfo --printer

Elle reconnu : http://fr.opensuse.org/HCL/Printers#Stylus_Color_740

Le soucis c'est qu'il n'y a pas de LP0 dans DEV !

Est-ce que c'est ajouté par les drivers? Je doute que non...

Vérifie bien que le librairie "libgimpprint" est bien installer.

D'autre part, peux-tu nous fournir le contenu du "dmesg" après démarrage.

je ne sais pas trop non plus mais peut etre quelques pistes sur parport
en avec la commande "lsmod"voir si le module parport et parport_pci soient presents
voir aussi dans "lib/modules/2.6.xxxx-default/kernel/drivers/parport"si les modules sont presents
je me souviens d'une commande avec la 8.2 mais qui doit fonctionner encore
"cat /proc/sys/dev/parport/parport0/autoprobe" si l'imprimante est presnte
mais je penche a 'un probleme de configuration du bios pour le port parallele
