Je viens d'installer la suse 10.0, ma carte fx5500 avec DVI et VGA est détecté et l'accélération 3D fonctionne bien.

je souhaite cependant faire du bi-écran et lorsque je vais dans sax2, rubrique affichage il ni à qu'un écran http://www.alionet.org/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif

Comment faire pour activer le bi-écran ?

A noter que j'ai mis à jour nvidia à partir YOU donc logiquement j'ai les derniers drivers !

Dans yast via l'ajout d'un nouvel écran ? Ou dans le fichier xorg.conf de /etc/X11/ ?

Ok je veux bien mais à moins que je ne soit un bille ou aveugle je ne trouve pas ou je peut le faire dans yast !!

J'ai ma FX5500 avec le DVI et le VGA, au démarage du pc j'ai les deux écrans allumé avec les même info après le démarage de linux il ne reste plus que mon VGA qui fonctionne !!! http://www.alionet.org/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif

A l'époque ou j'utilisé le bi-écran j'été sous mandriva, il s'agissait d'une ATI et tout ce passer par la console et dans le fichier xorg.conf mais avec les NVIDIA il me semblait que l'on pouvez le faire en mode graphique !

Pourriez vous me guider ou me conseiller !?!

C'est bien ce que je fais, cela lance SAX2 et dans la partie "Ecran", je n'ai que "afficher 1" avec la posibilité de modifier des options de ma carte graphique ou de changer d'écran mais pas pour activer ou installer un second écran!

Pour configurer un deuxieme écran dans yast il faut que la drivers de carte graphique soit présent 2 fois.
Pour celà dans l'onglet carte graphique tu installe une deuxième fx5500 et ensuite tu la configure en tant qu'affichage secondaire dans les paramètre avancé.
Normalement ça devrait rajouer directement le deuxième écran.

Au risque de parraitre ignare comment installer un nouvelle carte ?
Ni dans YAST ni dans SAX2 je ne voit la possibilté d'installer un nouveau matériel !

J'ai testé de copier la partie "device" du fichier xorg.conf
et de modifié simplement "Device[0]" par "Device[1]".
A ce moment là je le voit dans Sax2, je selectionne mon second écran mais le test échou et quand j'essai d'enregistrer jotiens le message : "X configuration: data incompete in file /var/lib/sax/xorg.conf undefined screen "screen(1]" referenced by ServerLayout "Layout[all]" " !!??!!

Une idée ?

Au pire est ce quelqu'un qui utiliserais le multihead et une nvidia pourrais me transmettre son xorg.conf....

Voilà le mien ... 2 écrans COMPAQ avec une Nvidia NVS 200/400 ... ça peut peut-être t'aider .. même si je ne suis plus sous SuSE ...

Salut à tous, je me suis lancé dans linux ce week end et mon choix s'est porté sur Suse apres avoir testé 2 autres distrib qui ne mérite pas d'etre cité...

J'ai une Geforce 4 ti 4200 agp x8 et 2 écrans CRT 17 pouces. j'ai réussi à les faire marcher ensemble en dual view comme il faut mais j'arrive pas à activer la transparence. Quand je mets l'option en ayant rajouté l'extension composite, kde m'affiche que la transparence je vois plus rien c'est le délire total lol. Quelqu'un peut il m'aider a faire marcher ca ou est ce tout simplement impossible avec 2 écrans ?

Je suis très satisfait de ma configuration Bi-écran, cependant je n'arrive pas à comprendre pourquoi mon second écran (et donc bureau KDE) est en anglais et non en francais comme le premier !?!

Je n'arrive pas non plus à le mettre en francais http://www.alionet.org/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif

J'aimerais aussi faire du bi-ecran mais manifestement c'est difficile. J'ai un sony vaio avec une carte graphique ATI 3D Rage. J'ai essaye de modifier manuellement mon xorg.conf (comme celui de ptiseb avec les modifs necessaires) mais rien n'y fait. Pourtant, ma sortie vga est bien acceptee et mon ecran est clone sans aucune modification. Quelqu'un sait-il si ca vient de ma carte? ou du fait que c'et un portable?
Bref, quand je recopie le xorg.conf de ptiseb, mon serveur X plante. Je le joins au cas ou
